The Legacy You Leave Behind

legacy

The way we remember people says a lot about the type of person they were on this earth.  It has nothing to do with whether we loved them or cared about them, but how they lived.  The legacy left behind can be one people admire or one that is quickly forgotten.

I recently found a post that made me think.  It talked about the lives of two men and although very similar, they left two completely different legacies behind.

Do you live to give or live to take?   Do you always try to make the best of a bad situation or complain about every situation?    Do you enrich the lives of others or just create more stress for those around you?   These are some serious questions to ask yourself.

Rabbi B says:

“We are all born. We all live. We all die. And yet, no two deaths are the same, no two lives are the same and no two legacies are the same.

As long as you are still here, there’s still time to choose, to change and to leave an Irwin-like legacy behind.”

Will people weep at their loss or rejoice when you are gone?   Certainly gives us all something to think about.

What legacy do you hope to leave behind?
