Easy Grinch Punch

At a recent Children’s Christmas Party at our church, I was in charge of refreshments.  Since the Grinch movie is popular, I decided to have “Grinch” themed food.

Grinch PUnch

The children enjoyed Grinch Cookies, Grinch Rice Krispie Treats, and Grinch Popcorn Snack Mix along with Grinch Punch.

Grinch Punch is easy to make and is very festive for the holidays and for St. Patrick’s Day. The bright green color is an attention grabber!

Grinch Punch

Ingredients:

  • 1 Frozen Green Party Punch   (If you can’t find in the store already frozen.  You can make your own.  Fill a Cool Whip sized container with Green Hawaiian punch and freeze for 48 hours or until solid.)
  • 1 Can Pineapple Juice
  • 1 Bottle Green Hawaiian Punch
  • 1 2 Liter Bottle of Squirt Soda or Ginger Ale
  • 1 2 Liter Bottle of 7Up or Sprite

Instructions:

  1. Remove Party Punch from the freezer and let thaw 10 – 15 minutes. (Or set in hot water for a minute or so.)
  2. Remove party punch by turning upside down without the lid in a punch bowl or other large bowl.
  3. Pour 2 cups of pineapple juice over iced punch.
  4. Pour 2 cups of Green Hawaiian Punch over Iced punch.
  5. Add equal part 7Up and Squirt to fill the punch bowl.
  6. Stir
  7. Serve
  8. Add more soda and other ingredients as needed to keep your bowl full.

NOTE:  If you prefer a more frothy mixture, you can use Green Sherbet instead of the Frozen Green Iced Punch.
