Marriage is not a thing of nature but a gift of God. ~Martin Luther
Happy 31st Anniversary
Thirty-one years ago, I married the love of my life.
We have built a life that we both enjoy. Together we have raised our son (now a junior in college), traveled to the majority of states, volunteered in our communities, adopted, loved and said goodbye to many pets and loved each other through the ups and downs of life.
Recently, we seem to have experienced lots of downs as we said goodbye to both our fathers.
Through all of these events, there has always been some constants, the love and respect we had for each other and faith in our relationship.
If I wanted to try something new, start a business, take a course, etc. he would be there to support me and encourage me. I can honestly say he has never once stood in my way or said, I don’t think you should try that.
Sure we have disagreements like everyone else. No marriage is perfect.
Great Choice
I made a great choice when I said, “I do” all those years ago. I’m blessed! I thank God every day for the opportunity to spend my life with the person I love. Our marriage truly is a gift from God.
So Michael, Happy Anniversary! I loved you 31 years ago and I love you even more now!
I hope we enjoy 31 more years together.
