Just last week my husband and I had an argument about my hidden clutter. One of my problems is I spend too much time on the computer writing instead of sorting and pitching.
2016 is the year I’m going change that. You see the main area of my house looks fine, but my office is a mess. More papers than I know what to do with. My closets have too many clothes in them. My basement is full of stuff I don’t know what to do with. I’m paying for a storage shed that is full of junk! Something has to change.
When I go to hunt something it is like finding a needle in a haystack. First it is where do I look, then it is what box would it be in if it were indeed in this place, and the search continues. More times than I want to count, I have just gone out and purchased a duplicate because I didn’t have time to invest in searching for the object. I’m wasting money!
I want to get these areas organized so I can find what I want when I need it. Part of getting them organized is throwing the unnecessary away.
Last year I read the book Clutter Free. It was great and helped me to clear a bunch of clutter, but there is still more and I needed something to give me a “kick in the butt” to start the new year decluttering. About 2 months ago Kathi Lipp (Author of over a dozen great books) and I were talking about helping others get clutter free and we decided to write an e-book, Kickstart to Clutter Free. When it was finished, it was decided to make it into an e-course. The e-course will help people jump-start their clutter free project with encouraging videos, assignments, and tools.
It promises to help you declutter at least 500 things in fourteen days. When I first tried it, I disposed of 2000 things. I know it will help you too.
I will be going through the process again and to offer each of you accountability and support, I have created a private Facebook group. If you purchase the Kickstart to Clutter Free e-course , let me know and I will add you to the Facebook group. In the group we can support each other and I can provide you with additional handouts and checklists throughout the year. I will also be reporting my progress as we go.
So join me in the challenge of becoming “clutter free” and sign up today for the “Kickstart to Clutter Free e-course”
