I LOVE Christmas!  Love all the decorations and celebrations.  I love the church services, the family traditions, the wonderful food and extra family time. I enjoy sitting in my family room with the tree lights on and just enjoying it.   Did I mention decorations?  I love decorating trees.   I have six trees in my house!

Hate Putting It All Away

I hate taking the decorations down and putting it all away!   The house feels so bare.  Everything looks sort of blah.  I hate the job of taking all the ornaments off the tree (especially when I put so many on my 12-foot tree!)  I hate packaging everything up in crates and storing it for another year.  I hate the feeling of, “It’s all over.”

Every year I say I’m going to put everything away on New Year’s Day.   Every year I put it off till the first or second weekend in January.  Every year as I’m putting it away I promise myself I will do this on January 1  before I go back to work.  Same cycle over.

I probably hate it so much because I have so many decorations!  I should part with some of them too!

Today is the Day

So today is the day!  I’m supposed to be taking those ornaments off the tree and gently packing them away for the year.   I did a few, felt sort of sad, so here I sit at the computer procrastinating.   Back to the job at hand for me.  Only 328 days till I decorate for Christmas again!
