Packing Challenge

My final carry on!

When I go on vacation, to an weekend training event, or anywhere….I always pack too much!   What about you?   In the past there have been times when I have had trouble even lifting my suitcase to be checked luggage.

The last time I traveled, I was away for three nights and had this huge suitcase.   I had to pay extra to check it.  I hate that the airlines have increased their prices and now charge for what used to be FREE!  I feel like I am paying double….more for the ride and then an extra fee for to take a suitcase.

Anyway, I decided this trip I was going to only take a carryon.   I knew it would be a challenge.  I told my husband and he didn’t think I could do it.  I started with a regular size carryon suitcase.  The maximum that would fit in the overhead compartments.   Halfway through the week, I decided I could use a smaller suitcase.    So I transferred my items to one that was several inches smaller.   Then I decided it was still bigger than I actually needed so I transferred to an even smaller suitcase.   You can see in the picture the differences in size.

The one I started with and the one I ended up with!

So I am packed.  Everything is in the small bag.   Contents include 4 outfits, cosmetics, toiletries, 2 pairs of shoes, pj’s, underwear, swimsuit and coverup.  some snacks, jewelry, curling iron, electronic cords, Ipad, and kindle.

I’m packed!

I think I did quite well fitting them all in this little case.

So are you a light or heavy packer?   Could you pack for a weekend in this little case?
