The first full day on the ship was a day at sea, cruising to the Grand Cayman.
I enjoy days at sea. Great days to sleep in, enjoy leisure activities, check out the pool, take a nap, have time to get dressed up for the formal night and enjoy the ship.
Good Morning
We took advantage of no schedule and slept in till about 10. We then enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Windjammer Cafe. Can I just say I don’t usually eat a big breakfast. But I sure enjoyed it on the cruise. I usually had waffles, bacon (lots of bacon, I love bacon!), and then fruit. One day I added a bagel, another day some breakfast potatoes, or a boiled egg, and one day I had oatmeal. All of us enjoyed breakfast on the ship.
Rock climbing
After breakfast, we headed up to the Rock Climbing wall where Neal climbed to the top.
Here is a video of his climb.
I wanted to do this, but just felt it wouldn’t be very smart for my knee. Didn’t want to damage any progress I had made. So it is still on my bucket list for the next cruise.
Lazy Afternoon
We checked out a few things on the ship and then spent some time at the pool. Neal and Liv enjoyed a Ping Pong Tournament.
Then we ate a late lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon in the Solarium where there is an adult only pool.
Then it was time to go get ready for the formal night.
Formal Night
Formal night on the ship is special. Everyone gets dressed up. Photographers are everywhere taking pictures.
We had this photo taken before dinner. I think it is my favorite from the trip.
That evening Neal and I enjoyed roast chicken, Liv had chicken parm and Mike had shrimp in garlic butter sauce.
While we were enjoying our meal, a photographer came around to each table and took pictures.
After dinner we had a few more photos taken and then Neal and Liv went to a Trivia Contest and Mike and I went to a music show by Kenny James.
Then it was off to the Centrum to listen and dance to music by the Locomotions.
It was a relaxing but fun day at sea.
